Exclusive - Tokio Hotel private!

Exclusive - Tokio Hotel private!

Roxy Club, LA, just before the first US gig of TH. The excited fans test their screaming. Nervousness also backstage. The team is running about anxiously. Georg and Tom warm up playing their instruments backstage, joke and laugh. Gustav has retreated to the toilet, Bill paces up and down nervously, is self-immersed and tight. Till the gig starts, nobody's allowed to talk to him. He wants his quiet and even has turned off his mobile. Seven minutes till TH storm the stage...

Nobody can witness this very private scene in the exciting tour live of TH - only POPCORN. The pictures were shot by the boys with their own cams. They were made on the first US tour in spring 2008. We see TH at the airport, in the tour van and backstage. Gustav: "The pictures are personal souvenirs of our tour-life, for we travel so much that we usually forget quickly what happened the day before." One pic of Tom is especially surprising: He's posing in front of a truck without his beloved cap! Instead, he has put on a olive-green bandana. We haven't seen the "cool Checker" [German slang, "checker" ~ "the man"] like this since the "Durch den Monsun"-clip in Juli 2005. [Which only goes to show that Popcorn doesn't watch TH TV ;-)] Tom: "An exception! I'll stay with my trusted style: XXL shirts, baggys, caps. Even though my little brother finds it ridiculous!"

What's next for TH? Till the 28th of August the boys are on US tour. 12 gigs are sceduled. Then vacation, and after that working on the 3rd album. Bill's already writing songs: "I have new ideas daily. I type it into my mobile phone or the laptop. Songwriting is my cure for homesickness!" If all goes well, the new CD will be in the shops in time for Christmas. Tom: "But there is no deadline from the record label, and we don't pressure ourselves. Rushing it would be shit. After the long wait, our fans deserve really awesome new songs!"
