Post Joepie nr. 6 (Bélgica): Kaulitz Look-a-likes on TH FM

Kaulitz Look-a-likes on TH FM

Belgian teen magazine Joepie interviews Tim and Kaï Lück, brothers and Kaulitz look-a-likes.

"We often get beaten up in school"

On Saturday, 24th of January, the Belgian TH Fanclub Tokio Hotel Action Channel (THAC) organised a fanmeeting in Antwerp. Around 100 TH-fans came to the Central Station. Among the fans: Tim and Kai, 2 Dutch diehard fans who daily dress up as Tom and Bill. 'We came all the way from Landgraaf (The Netherlands)', says Kai/Bill. 'After all, we are the biggest fans'.

Interview:

Hello Tim and Kai! Or should we say Tom and Bill?
Tim: We may be Bill and Tom look-a-likes, but our names our still Tim and Kai.

Okay, Tim and Kai, tell us: why do you dress like the Kaulitz twins?
Tim: "We really are crazy about them. We're the biggest Tokio Hotel fans you can imagine.
Kai: "We've seen them live over 40 times!"

Do people sometimes think you're the real Bill and Tom?
Kai: "It happens, yes. I'm being discriminated a lot. At school, for example. The principel made me sign a special contract because I look different than everyone else and I draw a lot of attention. If I'd do anything wrong, I'll be expelled. Other students also pick on me."

What do you mean?
Kai: "I regularly get beaten up at school."

Do you fight back?
Kai: "That's impossible. I can't do anything because they push me to the ground and hit me, sometimes 7 people at the same time.
Tim: "They once locked me up in a classroom."

Is it worth it?
Kai and Tim: "Of course! We're too big fans to give this all up!"

Left page:

- Tim and Kai go through life as Tom and Bill Kaulitz look-a-likes. "We even go to school and the bakery like this"

- The THAC Team: Elke, Lynn, Lizzie, Gaia and Cindy. "This is our 6th fanmeeting. It's always a succes!" says Lynn.

- A fan wants Bill's hairstyle. Her friends are eager to help her!

- When everyone has arrived, the fans start a game. "We've prepared questions about Tokio Hotel", says Cindy (THAC). "If someone knows the answer, he or she has to run to the other side of the square and blow a horn. If the answer is correct, the fan receives a nice gift!"

Right Page: 3 special fans

THALINE - The blonde fan!
Why are you here? "Thanks to THAC I've got to know a lot of TH fans. I wouldn't want to miss a FM!"
What does Bill mean to you? "Everything! I'm in love with him!"
What if TH would split up? "I'd commit suicide. Or maybe that's a bit exaggerated. I'd feel horrible for weeks."
Special feature: You have blonde hair and you're wearing pink boots.
"Most fans dye their hair black and wear black clothes. I don't. I have my own style. Just like Bill."

BETTY - The youngest fan!
Why are you here?
Betty:"Because I'm a big TH fan, of course! My mom and I often go shopping for TH stuff together. I've found out about Tokio Hotel through Jenny, a friend of my sister Brenda."
Not through your sister? Betty: "No, she likes 50 Cent."
Do you fight often? Brenda: "I wake up with TH every morning :( Not funny" Betty : "Yes!"
Special Feature: You're only 9 years old.
Betty: "But already a big fan!"

KEVIN - The male fan!
Why are you here?
"I was invited. And because it's a fun initiative."
Why are you wearing so much make up?
"Because I think it's nice. I was already wearing make up before I became a TH fan."
What does Bill mean to you?
"He's amazing. I fancy him, because I'm bisexual. But I'm not really in love with him."
What if Tokio Hotel would split up? "I'd feel - really - horrible. Tokio Hotel is my life!"
Special Feature: You're one of the few male fans here today.
"What can I say about that?"
